Аннотация
The publication is devoted to the analysis of the use of a macrolide antibiotic roxithromycin in the treatment of respiratory tract infections. The pharmacological properties of the drug, the mechanism of action, and current data on resistance of respiratory pathogens to macrolides are presented. The results of clinical studies analyzing the effectiveness of Roxithromycin in the treatment of respiratory infections are discussed; directions of antimicrobial therapy of community-acquired pneumonia are considered. Special attention is paid to the issues of compliance with antimicrobial therapy.
