详细

Severe erectile dysfunction (ED) remains the most difficult form for the treatment, and, according to various literature, up to 42-57% of patients do not respond to treatment with phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitors. The article presents the results of the study to assess the influence of linear shock wave therapy (LSWT) using Renova system on erectile function in 36 patients with ED of various etiologies with ineffectiveness of therapy with PDE5 inhibitors. It is shown that the use of LSWT in the treatment of ED is a safe and effective method of therapy. Noninvasiveness, no side effects, rapid improvement of erectile function without the need for any medication (in some cases), the ability to use in outpatient settings without anesthesia are the undoubted advantages of this type of treatment.
