Abstract
Objectives: To analyze trends in the development of modern technologies and experience in the field of mechanical engineering, which reduce the cost of producing electric motors and improve their energy efficiency.
Research methods: The methods used in the article are based on a systematic literary review, qualitative and meta-analysis of available information.
Results: The analysis of scientific papers on finding trends in the development of modern traction electric motors has been performed. An expert-analytical assessment of approaches and optimal methods aimed at reducing the cost of resources for the production of electric motors for electrified vehicles is proposed.
Conclusions: The prospects for the development of electric motors are associated with the introduction of innovative materials and technologies. The active development and implementation of axial magnetic flux machines indicates significant progress in the industry, but requires further research and development to overcome existing limitations in the form of a shortage of rare earth materials, as well as limitations related to the size and weight of products.
