Abstract

Combined application of functional stimulation and robotic gait reconstruction at the patients in acute stroke period.
Fifty-eight patients with hemiparesis in acute period of ischemic stroke were examined and divided into two groups: the 1st one
included 38 patients which have got the rehabilitation course applying robotic device Erigo and functional electrostimulation using
MOTIONSTIM 8 module. The patients of the 2nd group (n=20) got complex treatment without including functional stimulation. For
estimation of rehabilitation measures we used six marks paresis scale and electrophysiological examination ( impedance cardiography,
transcranial Doppler ultrasonography of the damaged middle cerebral artery, evoked potentials ) before, at the time and
after robotic device session. It was established that the applying of functional electrostimulation is safety in acute stroke period
and the effect of combined application of functional stimulation and robotic device surpasses the traditional kinesiotherapy.
