Abstract
In this year, the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology is 60 years old. The paper presents the scientific activity of the Clinical Department and its divisions from the late 1970s to the present day. The main scientific works conducted under the guidance of scientists, such as Professors A.V. Zmyzgov and A.R. Reizis, are highlighted. At this time, they began to actively studied the cellular and humoral components of immunity, the hemostatis system, the state of the antioxidant system and lipid peroxidation, to test new therapies, such as hyperbaric oxygenation, plasmapheresis, laser therapy, interferons, etc. in patients with viral hepatitis.
