PayPal Payments Now Available

 

 

 

We are happy to announce that in accordance with Eco-Vector’s mission to be a connecting bridge between Russian and International scientific worlds, starting from July 13th, 2025 our journal can receive payments via PayPal, allowing seamless payment experience for all our readers and authors.

 

Paid Services

 

There are two main types of paid services: author fees and readers fees, which occur depending on journals publishing models.

 

There are different types of journals on Eco-Vector’s Journals Portal:

  • Gold OA, charging APCs or ASCs from authors.
  • Subscription journals, where readers pay to gain access to separate articles and issues, or to get an annual access to the whole journal, including archives.
  • Hybrid access, containing both OA and subscription-based articles.
  • Diamond OA, providing free access to content for readers and charging no APCs or ASCs.

 

Some journals offer additional paid publishing services for authors, such as Fast-Track editorial workflow, translation and editing.

 

All services can now be purchased via PayPal.

 

To use PayPal, you need to be authorized on a journal’s website. Please register on the journal's website or directly through the Eco-Vector journals portal at https://journals.eco-vector.com/index/user/register.

 

Once the payment has been processed, you will receive all the necessary notifications.

 

Readers’ Payments

 

Readers can purchase a 12-month access to all journal contents (including archives) uploaded on the website. Please go to the MY SUBSCRIPTION section in your personal account on the journal's webpage and follow the instructions. Please make sure you pick the ‘ANNUAL ACCESS (online version)’ option.

 

One can also obtain access to a separate issue or even a separate article on the journals. The issues and their corresponding articles can be accessed through the ISSUES section on the main menu. The current issue content is also available on the journal’s home page. Access to individually purchased articles or issues is granted perpetually.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Purchased access does not allow distributing, copying, or reproducing the articles' content.

 

Authors Fees

 

Article Publication Charge (APC)

 

Some OA journals require APC paid before an accepted article can be published.

 

PLEASE NOTE: authors can pay the APC only after receiving the confirmation from the editor that their manuscript has been accepted for publication.

 

Article Submission Charge (ASC)

 

Some journals require a single ASC per submitted manuscript to cover editorial costs. The ASC covers manuscript review, which includes:

  • Initial manuscript review by editors for compliance with Guidelines for Authors and Editorial Policies;
  • Plagiarism check;
  • Double-blind peer review and authors-to-reviewers-to-authors communication;
  • Submitting the article and peer review results to the Editorial Board;
  • Communication with authors on all Editorial Board decisions.

 

PLEASE NOTE: The ASC does not guarantee the publication of a manuscript. The fee is not refundable if the manuscript is rejected after peer review or is not reviewed for objective reasons (e.g., non-compliance with author's copyright provisions; negative reviews; author(s) failure to meet a manuscript corrections deadline; refusal to adopt/correct/update the manuscript as required by the Editorial Board; violation of publication ethics guidelines).

 

Fast-Track

 

The Fast-Track review and editorial workflow is for authors who want a quick editorial decision and publication at a higher submission fee to compensate for the urgent review and editorial work.

 

This option guarantees final decision within 21 days, beginning on the first business day after receiving valid payment information from the submitting author. Authors will receive a report with peer review results and a decision letter from the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board.

 

If a manuscript is accepted by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board members after a positive peer review, it will be published in the upcoming issue of the journal.

 

The Fast-Track option does not guarantee a positive review and acceptance of a manuscript. It only provides an urgent manuscript review that follows all editorial procedures. Thus, if peer reviews are negative, and the Editorial Board agrees with the reviewers, the manuscript will be rejected. If the reviewers suggest revising the manuscript, the final decision on publication will be made only once the revised manuscript has been submitted and the second round of review has been completed.

 

The Fast-Track option does not provide exemption from correct manuscript formatting. Please ensure that the manuscript complies with the journal’s formatting guidelines (available on the Author Guidelines page).

 

To use the Fast-Track option, the submitting author needs to make a payment from their personal account on the journal's website after submitting a manuscript.

 

Optional Open Access

 

Optional Open Access within hybrid journals allows authors of accepted articles to pay the Open Access Publication Charge to make their article freely available for readers online via the journal’s website.

 

If an author chooses not to pay the Open Access Publication Charge, their article will be published in in the subscription-based mode, and the full text will not be publicly available online.

 

Open access articles will be clearly labeled on the journal's online content page.
