4. Description Abstract

Background. The concept of accelerated recovery after surgery (ERAS, Enhanced recovery after surgery) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach based on scientific principles and aimed at optimizing patient management in the perioperative period. Despite the proven effectiveness of ERAS in various types of oncological operations, questions remain about the impact of this approach on the results of the perioperative period in the treatment of prostate cancer (prostate cancer).
Objective. To analyze modern scientific data on the use of ERAS principles in the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative period in the treatment of prostate cancer.
Materials and methods. The authors searched for publications in the electronic databases PubMed and Google Scholar using keywords in Russian and English: "the concept of accelerated recovery after surgery", "enhanced recovery after surgery", "prostate cancer", "ERAS", "radical prostatectomy", "robotic radical prostatectomy", "prostate cancer", "radical prostatectomy", "robotic radical prostatectomy". The search was conducted in accordance with the recommendations of PRISMA. As a result, the review included 100 studies.
Results. ERAS covers the entire perioperative period, starting with patient preparation and ending with recovery after surgery. This makes it possible to effectively perform radical prostatectomy and provide high-quality rehabilitation. Currently, the combination of ERAS with robotic radical prostatectomy demonstrates the advantages associated with minimal injury and a high level of reliability, which significantly reduces surgery time, reduces postoperative complications, accelerates patient recovery and increases the satisfaction of medical staff.
Conclusion. To fully assess the benefits of ERAS in REM, it is necessary to systematize existing concepts and recommendations in the field of surgical treatment of prostate pathologies, as well as conduct high-quality multicenter studies aimed at studying rehabilitation, prevention of complications and analysis of patients' opinions. This will expand the capabilities of ERAS and enhance its impact on improving treatment outcomes.
