Kamynina N.N., Nenakhova Y.S., Yarasheva A.V., Aleksandrova O.A., Alikperova N.V.

Abstract

Discussions about expanding the functions of nurses, increasing their role and professional status reflect the potential opportunities and risks of innovation. The authors, in their original scientific research using sociological methods (2020), identified the expectations of metropolitan nurses regarding the expansion of their functional duties and fears associated with an increase in the level of responsibility and work load. It has been determined that the strengthening of certain labor attitudes of medical workers as a result of reflection on innovations that are significant for them in health care, introduced in recent years and causing ambiguous assessments, as well as modern working conditions are of key importance for the perception of a new model of a nurse.

Malikov V.E., Rybka M.M., Zatenko M.A., Orlov O.I., Petrunina L.V., Arzumanyan M.A., Danilov S.A.

Abstract

Severe lesions of the respiratory system and other body systems lead to disruption of their function, reduced ability to work and the quality of life, which dictates the need to develop effective personalized rehabilitation programs for patients with COVID-19. Despite the fact that the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has not been sufficiently studied both in terms of the course of the acute period and the recovery period, the severe consequences of this infection dictate the need to search for the most effective methods of rehabilitation both during inpatient treatment and after discharge. The proposed program for the physical rehabilitation of patients who have undergone COVID-19 associated pneumonia covers all periods of medical care: in the acute phase - in the intensive care unit, in the subacute phase - in the infectious diseases wards of the hospital and for the period of outpatient rehabilitation treatment after the patient’s return home.

Nursing in Israel: An Overview of Professional Training, Competencies, Practice Settings, and Working Conditions

Konson C.

Abstract

The Israeli health care system has been changing in recent years towards improving the qualifications of nursing professionals. Israel has decided at the state level to form the maximum possible staff of nursing specialists with higher education and the broadest possible qualifications - thus the category of “practicing nurses” is constantly decreasing in proportion to the total number of specialists. Due to the continual increase in life expectancy and the expansion of the of the senior citizens group within the total population, Israel - like most developed countries - faced a shortage of medical personnel in general, and nursing specialists in particular. To address this problem, the Israeli Ministry of Health has developed a specialized programme to encourage training in the profession of nurses, with an emphasis on training specialists with high academic education and specialization in specific areas of healthcare. This article provides an overview of nursing professional training system and the categories of nurses, in Israel, describes the working conditions and nurses rights protection issues, and demonstrates the status of nursing professionals and their level of autonomy in professional decision making.

Cycling test in the diagnostics of hidden heart rate disorders

Solodyannikova Y.M., Solovyanovich E.V., Trushcheleva T.P., Yudina I.I., Gatilova O.M.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of the safety of carrying out a diagnostic procedure with a dosed physical activity to detect latent heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmias) in a patient. Under stress or increased physical exertion, a sudden arrhythmia can lead to an acute violation of hemodynamics, and in the absence of emergency assistance to the patient, to his death. To simulate the conditions in which the patient finds himself, the method of functional diagnostics, which is widely used in medical practice, is bicycle ergometry. Since the sample is associated with the risk of developing life-threatening conditions, the medical specialists must have not only special knowledge, skills and abilities, but carefully follow the procedure for selecting patients, taking into account the indications and contraindications for performing the sample, and also know the criteria for stopping the sample and the basic rules for the provision of emergency medical help.
