Data are presented on the features of the course of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in patients with cardiovascular diseases and, in particular, with arterial hypertension, as well as on a higher incidence of adverse outcomes in this group of patients. The article touches upon information about additional risks in patients with arterial hypertension against the background of coronavirus infection, including those associated with antihypertensive therapy, and approaches to the management of such patients.
