Abstract
The concepts of current sheets and solar wind developed simultaneously. The basics were laid by Soviet and American scientists in 1950s and 1960s. In half a century our knowledge about heliosphere, current sheets, and plasma deepened, but the main characteristics of the observed phenomena were so successfully described in the works of the founders, that even today any deviation from the old models is considered as non-trivial by the scientific community, in spite of contradictions and new results, which are described in the paper.
