Abstract

Due to a progressive rise in the incidence of cholelithiasis (CL) and in the number of patients with choledocholithiasis, it is necessary to improve the diagnosis and treatment of this pathology. For this, a trocar was designed and a procedure was developed for trocar fibrocholedochoscopy and lithoextraction that was used in the video-assisted endolaparoscopic surgical treatment in 16 patients with choledocholithiasis-complicated CL. Trocar fibrocholedochoscopy and lithoextraction simplify this stage of surgical intervention and improve both the diagnosis of choledocholithiasis and the results of surgical treatment.
