Abstract

The experience with urologic care to inpatients with prostatitis in the presence of concomitant HIV infection has demonstrated that the prostate inflammatory process tends to form an abscess. The efficacy of antibacterial agents is also considered during empiric therapy for acute prostatitis or exacerbation of chronic prostatitis in the presence of HIV infection.
