Abstract
The effect of statins (atorvastatin and rosuvastatin) on arterial elastic properties was studied in patients with hypertension and dyslipidemia. There was a significant rigidity index reduction that was more pronounced in the rosuvastatin group. Evaluation of endothelial function revealed an increment in the pulse wave amplitude.
