Abstract

Pregnancy in women with chronic renal failure (CRF) is associated with increased risk of maternal and fetal complications, however, under certain conditions, a favorable outcome of pregnancy in CRF can be achieved. The paper presents the criteria for predicting pregnancy outcome in women with chronic kidney disease (CKD), indications for abortion in kidney diseases, special features of the planning, management of pregnancy and delivery in women with CRF. The importance of a multidisciplinary approach to management of pregnancy in CRF, prevention of complications with early pregnancy and patient compliance were accentuated.
