Abstract

The sequel of brain injury (BI) may be hypopituitarism, the development of which potentially worsens rehabilitation and prognosis. Cohort studies have shown that the rate of posttraumatic hypopituitarism is 15 to 90%. According to the data obtained by a number of authors, secondary hypocorticism is one of the most common types of tropic insufficiency in posttraumatic hypopituitarism. The authors describe their clinical case of isolated secondary hypocorticism developing after BI.
