Abstract
The paper presents special tools that can improve the technique of arthroscopic chondroplasty of the femoral condyles, by applying the Chondo-Guide collagen membrane. A hand cutting instrument to create the even margins of a cartilage defect and a ruler to measure its sizes are proposed. The use of the special cutting instrument could accelerate the preparation of the bone bed to implant the membrane by 2.9-fold and that of the ruler could determine the sizes of an implantable collagen membrane flap without employing a template, i.e. without resorting to arthrotomy.
