Abstract

The paper gives the main features and advantages of ibuprofen (Nurofen) as rectal suppositories over acetaminophen (Paracetamol) in young children with acute respiratory viral infections accompanied by hyperthermia; Nurofen suppositories provide a more pronounced and prolonged antipyretic effect, abolish fever 1.2 times more promptly, and have a higher safety profile.
