Abstract

Measurement of serum leptin levels in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) may be used as an additional study to assess the prognosis of the disease irrespective of its stage. Patients with a special pretreatment serum leptin level of >30 ng should be included into a group at high risk for CRC progression.
