Abstract

The paper analyzes the results of 211 surgeries for posttraumatic shoulder joint instability in able-bodied patients. The severity of damages to shoulder joint components is shown to be related to age. The authors associate the poor results of treatment with the drawbacks of preoperative planning that should be done in terms of the nature and extent of bone defects identified by computer tomography.
