COMORBIDITY OF DYSCIRCULA TORY ENCEPHALOPATHY WITH DIABETIC POLYNEUROPATHY, FRONTAL ATAXIA, AND BLOOD LEVELS OF TRACE ELEMENTS

Prokopovich O., Torshin I., Gromova O., Gusev E., Nikonov A.

Abstract

A concurrence of dyscirculatory encephalopathy (DE) with diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN), frontal ataxia, vestibulopathy, pyramid syndrome, and blood levels of trace elements in these conditions were studied. An anticomorbidity of DE and DPN was established; the specific features of a profile of the trace elements that are characteristic for each of the neurological disorders were defined. Assessments of risks for the examined abnormalities were given in relation to their clinical presentations, drug intake, diet, and physical activity in patients.

ONYCHOMYCOSIS: TREATMENT AND PREVENTION

Lykova S., Nemchaninova L., Spitsyna A.

Abstract

Onychomycosis is the most common fungal infection of the nail bed, matrix, and / or plate. EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY OF TREATMENT IN PATIENTS WITH LOW BACK PAIN

Magomedova M., Kamchatnov P.

Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common musculoskeletal pain syndromes in the population. Many patients need repeated treatment cycles, during which the risk of undesirable side effects increases. The results of using Nolodatak (flupirtine) that has analgesic, myorelaxant, and neuroprotective effects in LBP are analyzed.

OCCULT HYPERTENSION. ITS CHARACTERISTICS IN PATIENTS WITH PACEMAKERS IN CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIAS

Gorokhova S., Shabalin E., Barabanova E.

Abstract

The purposeful examination using 24-hour Holter blood pressure (BP) monitoring reveals occult hypertension in patients with implanted pacemakers (PM) in cases of cardiac arrhythmias and a history of hypertension. As compared with patients without PM, occult hypertension is characterized by a lower daytime BP load, a predominance of daily non-dipper and night-peaker profiles, and a high rate of target organ lesions.

LONG-TERM TREATMENT WITH LISINOPRIL AND CARVEDILOL IN PATIENTS WITH UNSTABLE ANGINA AT REST

Strutynsky A., Kallaeva A., Gazleva P., Baranov A., Trlshlna V., Golubev Y., Golubeva G.

Abstract

The efficiency of long-term outpatient treatment with the angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor Lisinopril and the vasodilatory α1-, ß1,2 -adrenoblocker carvedilol was studied in patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension who had experienced severe attacks of unstable angina at rest. It was shown that this treatment might substantially slow down the process of ischemic remodeling of the left ventricle (LV), favors regression of its hypertrophy, its better diastolic and systolic function, a lower risk for poor coronary events and progressive chronic heart failure, two-year mortality and ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmia rates.

Maslyanaya kislota v kombinirovannoy terapii sindroma razdrazhennogo kishechnika

Pavlenko V., Pavlenko A., Khalif I.

Abstract

The paper gives an update on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It considers the classification, pathogenesis, and clinical features of IBS with diarrhea, and its treatment options. It is indicated that there is no current effective universal therapy regimen for IBS, which is suited for patients with its different types. Butyrate (Zacofalc) has been observed to have certain success with recent treatment of IBS in order to reduce visceral hypersensitivity and abdominal pain and discomfort. The paper describes methods for evaluating the efficiency of combined therapy with Zacofalc for IBS with diarrhea. It is concluded that incorporation of butyrate (Zacofalc) in the combination therapy of IBS with diarrhea improves quality of life in the patients and enhanced the efficiency of treatment.

Abstract

In this paper we present the frequency and structure of osteoporotic fractures in women with osteoarthritis according to the constitution. Found that among women with fractures of the constitution mezosomnoy found significantly more often and have a correlation with it. The localization of fractures is also the constitutional relationship. Among women with mezosomy constitution, compared with women with megalosomy constitution is dominated by fractures of the vertebrae, and in patients with megalosomy constitution - fractures of the forearm. Multiple fractures are found only in representatives of mezosomy constitution.

Lebedev P., Mateesku K., Verbovoy A., Malkova O., Aleksandrov M.

Abstract

Adipokines are potential factors modulating atherogenesis. Their pathogenetic significance was determined in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and in those with chronic coronary heart disease. Adipokines were established to undergo dynamic changes in AMI, to be involved in the inflammatory responses triggered by ischemia and hemodynamic insufficiency, and to favor the development of insulin resistance, which might suggest that they affected postinfarction remodeling processes in the heart and vessels.

Reze A.

Abstract

The communicating skills and ability of a physician to obtain and hand over information are main conditions of successful treatment. The physician’s communicating skills govern not only a patients satisfaction with medical care quality and his emotional well-being, but also objective treatment results, such as the number of exacerbations of chronic diseases, the frequency of hospitalizations, and even the incidence of complications. Different styles of communication with patients are considered.
