Abstract

The efficiency of treatment for metabolic syndrome and associated infertility, by using metformin and sibutramine in combination with preventive measures aimed at reducing body mass, is substantiated. It is significantly shown that body weight loss in patients undergoing preventive measures has contributed to a considerable improvement in not only lipid and carbohydrate metabolic parameters and to restoration of ovulatory cycles, but also to a significant improvement in quality of life.
