Abstract

The authors evaluated the disinfectant effect of anti-parasitic solutions experimentally used for lavage of the abdominal cavity with hydatid cyst rupture into the latter. Two-month antirecurrent therapy with albendazole showed a 2.3-fold reduction in the incidence of abdominal echinococcosis in experimental animals (χ2=5.47; p=0.019).
