Abstract
The brain memory mechanism is a network of cyclic neural circuits (CNCs). When there is insufficient γ-aminobutyric acid secretion in the brain, many CNCs are switched off from the memory mechanism, which causes cognitive dysfunction. This is one of the causes of memory impairment in AlzheimePs disease and senile dementia of the Alzheimer type.
