Abstract

A clinical examination with interviews was made in a random sample of 945 Krasnodar residents aged over 45 years in order to study the prevalence and risk factors of peptic ulcer disease (PUD). The latter was diagnosed by endoscopy; Helicobacter pylori was determined by enzyme immunoassay detection of serum IgG antibodies
