RELATIONSHIPS IN THE BLOOD TRACE ELEMENT COMPOSITION IN PATIENTS WITH DYSCIRCULATORY ENCEPHALOPATHY
Abstract
Plasma trace element levels are promising as biomarkers for neurological states in patients with dyscirculatory encephalopathy. There are 3 clusters of relationships reflecting the statistically significant associations between comorbidity types, plasma trace element levels, and diabetic polyneuropathy. Analysis of the clusters of relationships between the indicators could define promising directions for further studies.

FACET SYNDROME
Abstract
Facet syndrome occupies one of the leading places among the causes of back pains. In spite of diagnostic complexities, comprehensive clinical and diagnostic examination helps establish this diagnosis and purposeful and multimodal therapy for this syndrome, which incorporates nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs as first-line agents, nerve blocks with local anesthetics and corticosteroids, radiofrequency denervation, and facetoplasty, allows the leading manifestation of the disease (pain syndrome) to be completely alleviated in most cases.

TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH LIVER CIRRHOSIS AND ESOPHAGEAL VARICEAL BLEEDING
Abstract
Overall measures in the management of these patients to maintain vital functions are combined with specific treatment (pharmacotherapy with vasoactive agents + endoscopic hemostatic methods); if inefficient, it is best to perform transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt.

NONVALVULAR ATRIAL FIBRILLATION AND RECURRENT ISCHEMIC STROKES
Abstract
To determine the prognostic value of a recurrent acute cerebrovascular accident, the authors compare groups of patients with atrial fibrillation and no stroke (retrospectively), as well those who have had one and recurrent strokes. The specific features of managing these patients are considered.

BUTYRIC ACID AND INULIN IN THE COMBINATION TREATMENT OF ABDOMINAL PAIN IN IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME
Abstract
The combination of trimebutine and Zacofalc has been shown to surpass that of trimebutine and lactobacteria in efficacy when comparing the magnitude of pain syndrome (p=0.04) and the intensity of painful sensations (p=0.042). The former combination is an effective agent for the therapeutic correction of abdominal pain in patients with irritable bowel syndrome.

CLINICAL AND IMMUNOLOGICAL SUBSTANTIATION OF EFFICIENCY OF COMPLEX THERAPY OF INFLAMMATORY ENT DISEASES USING THE MEDICATION VETORON®
Abstract
Results of studying of efficiency of application of a preparation Vetoron® at children with chronic inflammatory diseases of chronic otorhinolaryngologic diseasesare presented. It is established that in groups of children with a chronic adenoidit, with chronic sinusitis receiving complex treatment with use of a preparation Vetoron® the number of complaints decreased, there was a normalization of the immune status that was expressed in normalization of a condition of factors of congenital immunity, restoration of intercellular relationship of subpopulations of T-lymphocytes, to decrease in level of products of oxidation of lipids with increase of anti-oxidizing activity of serum of blood, increase of anti-oxidizing activity of serum of blood. The positive dynamics of clinical and immunological indicators registered at treatment with use of a preparation Vetoron® allows to recommend it as a method of pathogenetic therapy of chronic adenoidit and chronic tonsillitis

OPTIMIZATION OF SEPTOPLASTY TECHNIQUES
Abstract
Nasal septum deviation is the most common cause of impaired nasal breathing in adults; however, this pathology is also encountered in children. Surgery is the only treatment. The early postoperative period is associated with many complications and patients’ subjective hard perception of a tamponade period. In an effort to facilitate the early postoperative period and to minimize postoperative complications, the authors have optimized septoplasty procedures.

MANAGEMENT OF OUTPATIENTS WITH ACUTE DIARRHEA
Abstract
According to international data, the incidence of diarrheal infections in industrially developed countries is 0.-2.0 episodes per capita a year. The social and economic value of acute enteric infection (AEI) is not limited to high morbidity rates. One of the main reasons for increased attention to AEI is a significant rise in the death rates within a year after a diarrhea episode - 2.2 versus 0.7% in patients without AEI in the year before the investigation.
