Acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) belong to the most common illnesses in both adults and children. Not only ENT physicians, but also, first of all, therapists and pediatricians encounter them in the outpatient setting. The paper provides an evidence-based review of Immunal®. Russian and international experience with the drug based on Echinacea, including that in combination with ascorbic acid, suggests its high efficacy as an immunomodulator and its good safely profile when used in the combination therapy for ARVI.
