Sore throat is caused by infection in 90% of patients. By choosing its treatment option, one proceeds from the clinical evaluation of a patients general medical condition, auxiliary tests, and history data. Its treatment is generally symptomatic. Only 10-20% of patients with sore throat require antibacterial therapy, but it is prescribed much more frequently in our country.
