详细

The paper considers an association between sleep disorders and intellectual impairments in children. It gives data on the characteristic types of sleep disorders, such as bedtime resistance; frequent nocturnal awakenings; parasomnias; altered sleep patterns; first of all, a lower proportion of REM sleep. Attention is drawn to the direct relationship between the neurophysiology of sleep and intellectual development in a child, sleep disorders and the pathogenesis of intellectual impairments. The role of the abnormal production of neuromediators in the genesis of sleep disorders in children with intellectual disorders is discussed. Possible approaches to nonpharmacological and pharmacological correction are outlined.
