Abstract
Features of combine harvesters' work in conditions of large commodity grain production (up to 45-50 thousand tons for a season) are stated. It is drawn a conclusion that if there are well adjusted engineering, technical repair and dispatching services in a farm, irrespective of a year of combines' release, it is possible for each of them to provide the average daily output of grain up to 120 tons, at the average fuel consumption 2,16-2,49 kg/tons. Combines «Don-1500» of the first years of release supposed more losses of grain than modern ones. Domestic combines «Don-1500M» and its advanced model «Acros-530» have greater potential opportunities, and at their correct service they are quite competitive with foreign ones of a similar class.
