Abstract

High voltage currents were used in the cases of claudication intermittente cited by the author as follows: 3 times a week - a session of general electrification - the patient was placed in d'Arsonval's cell for 10 minutes (current strength - from 300 to 500 mil.), after which followed local application, consisting in the electrification of the lower extremities with the Oudin'a electrode, which caused a rather pronounced reddening of the skin, accompanied by a feeling of warmth.

Токи высокаго напряженія примѣнялись въ приводимыхъ авторомъ случаяхъ claudication intermittente слѣдующимъ образомъ: 1) 3 раза въ недѣлю—сеансъ общей электризаціи- больного на 10 минутъ помѣщали въ клѣтку d’Arsonval’я (сила тока—отъ 300 до 500 mil.), послѣ чего слѣдовало 2) мѣстное примѣненіе, состоящее, въ электризаціи нижнихъ конечностей съ помощью электрода Oudin’a, которая вызывала довольно рѣзко выраженное покраснѣніе кожи, сопровождавшееся ощущеніемъ тепла.

Изъ приведенныхъ исторій болѣзней 5-ти случаевъ видно, что во всѣхъ было достигнуто болѣе или менѣе значительное улучшеніе, а въ 1-мъ случаѣ—даже полное выздоровленіе, держащееся уже около 3-хъ лѣтъ.
