APATHETIC DEPRESSION - THE CLINICAL AND NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

Studying for the first time of the apathetic depression revealed at late age, determination of its interrelation with cognitive violations and neuroanatomic changes was the purpose of this work. It was revealed that existence of an apathetic component in a clinical picture of a depression reflects a tendency to increase of depression severity, deterioration in cognitive functioning of patients, predetermines essential decrease in all indexes of social functioning and correlates with increase of vascular changes of brain.
