Abstract
The article is dedicated to the physiological bases of erection, the pathophysiological mechanisms associated with erectile dysfunction, and detailed analysis of the reasons - psychological, neurological, endocrine, vascular reasons (arterial and related with dysfunction of the corpora cavernosa), leading to erectile dysfunction. The current aspects of diagnosis and treatment of patients with erectile dysfunction are discussed.
