Abstract

Innovative energy-efficient induction heating technology of aluminum billets rotating in DC magnetic field is investigated. Heating process has been simulated with usage of 2D numerical model of electromagnetic and thermal fields. Parametric investigations of the process have been carried out. Time-optimal control problem for induction heating process has been formulated and solved.
