Abstract

The article analyzes the changes taking place in the market of silicon fab services (contract manufacturing of integrated circuits). They are largely connected with the confrontation between China and the United States. Sanctions imposed against China undermine the position of Chinese silicon fabs. American companies are expanding their production base in their country in accordance with the CHIPS and Science Act adopted on August 9, 2022 in the United States.
