Abstract
The XVI International Conference "TransNet: Backbone Communications Networks", organised by ComNews Information Group, was held in Moscow on 12-13 March. The participants of the event were able to make sure: Russia today provides itself with everything necessary for backbone telecommunications infrastructure development that is not inferior to global analogues, including submarine FOCLs.
