Abstract
Multimedia technologies allow delivering to subscriber broad range of
services including telephony, data communications, video calls and intelligent services. The problem with throughput is solved by using cable with optic fiber. One of the most perspective way of increasing coefficient of throughput of optic fiber is Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM). In this article are shown the reasons of appearing of non-linear transitions between channels in optic fiber and basic principles of WDM equipment frequency planning. In the article are shown characteristics and possibility of application of NEC DWDM U-Node equipment.
