Abstract
Results of refractive index profi le measurements of different generations of silica graded index multimode fi ber samples are presented. Based on measurement results, typical profi le defects of mentioned fi ber samples were identifi ed and classifi ed. Estimations of profi le defect parameters are obtained. Results of matching of profi le measurement reports and reports of differential mode delay (DMD) measurements been produced for the same fi ber samples are presented. Data of analysis of graded index fi ber profi le defect infl uence on DMD are proposed
