Abstract
The article analyzes the phenomenon of a strategic inflection point on the example of Intel. We investigate the determinants of the choice of WiMax technology by Intel’s experts as a supporting technology of the future period. The factors forming the strategy of the company. Particular attention is paid to the institutional features of the environment of the technology’s spread as a factor of investment risk.
