DISPERSIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ROUND OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE WITH CONSIDERATION FOR MATERIAL CHIRALITY

Abstract

The present-day stage of optics development is characterized by active research of metamaterials and photonic crystals. Constitutive equations are generalized from many cases for such structures and include at least one more defining additional coupling between electric-field vectors of electric and magnetic fields parameter along with inductive capacity and magnetic inductivity. This parameter may determine either the chirality degree or optical activity of medium. In most cases in optics the optical activity effects accounting has weak effect for wave propagation processes and discards for that reason. An attempt to take optical activity into consideration in most cases does not result in significant difference and is typically avoided for that reason. The analysis of optical activity parameter effect on wave propagation in round optical waveguide for determination of classical constitutive equation scope of application and necessity of using more complex forms of constitutive equations is conducted at this work. The crystal optical activity influence on dispersive characteristics of the main mode for round optical fiber is considered in this work. The accurate mathematical model of light wave spreading inside round optical waveguide with consideration for material optical activity was created. The dispersive equation for the main optical eigenmode was derived analytically. In case of absence of optical activity this equation corresponds to generally known dispersive equation for main mode of round optical fiber. Expressions are obtained for the vectors of the electromagnetic field in a circular optical fiber, taking into account the optical activity of the medium. An analysis is made of the dispersion characteristic of an optical waveguide modes for the case of quartz and lithium niobate. The paper shows the necessity of accounting for optical activity at frequencies much higher than the cutoff frequency of each mode.

STRUCTURAL-PHYSICAL MODEL OF A SATELLITE RADIO CHANNEL WITH ABSORPTION AND SCINTILLATION OF WAVES IN THE IONOSPHERE

Abstract

The structural and physical model of the satellite radio channel taking into account the absorption and scintillation of the wave in the ionosphere is developed on the basis of the complex model of changes of the electron concentration in the inhomogeneous ionosphere. It is presented as a combination of a thick homogeneous layer and a thin layer of irregularities characterized by the average value of the total electron content of the ionosphere and the standard deviation of its small-scale fluctuations, as well as a thin layer in which electrons collide with ions and neutral molecules. The advantage of the developed model in comparison with the known model is the ability to determine the total electron content of the ionosphere and its statistical characteristics by passive monitoring using a double-frequency receiver of satellite radio navigation systems GPS/GLONASS. Based on the description of the radio waves propagation through the inhomogeneous ionosphere and using methods of constructing multipath models and methods of describing the wave diffraction on the irregularities of the ionosphere, analytical dependences of the received signal power, as well as regular and fluctuation components of the transmission coefficient of the transionospheric channel on the carrier frequency of the transmitted signals, statistical characteristics of the fluctuations of the total electron content of the ionosphere and the average effective frequency of the collision of electrons are established.

DESIGN OF SUBJECT-ORIENTED ONTOLOGY FOR IEEE 802.22 COGNITIVE ACCESS NETWORKS

Abstract

There is a problem of heterogeneous data analysis for cognitive communication networks concerning the secondary users spectrum access control. The end goal of the subscriber access control is to assess in real time the basic conditions under which a secondary user would not interfere with the main user of the same spectrum. The most common way to solve this problem is to determine a set of mandatory rules for channel usage, although this method requires updating of the stored control programs. The article proposes an ontological channel usage method that is based on a subject-oriented ontology as well as on a set of logical rules for deriving user equipment technical parameters. Designed rules are based on the cognitive communication standard defining the usage of TV White Spaces. The proposed method allows to fully or at least partially eliminate the need for updating of stored control programs by utilizing the logical solver engine. The reasoner for an ontology-based control system uses facts to automatically form a set of logic rules for adjusting user equipment settings. The resulting set of facts and rules is then formalized using Web Ontology Language and is then presented to an expert for review and correction. The proposed method contains the information architecture model for the user equipment and provides the flexibility in adjusting the settings for radio equipment operating in cognitive access networks of IEEE 802.22 standard utilizing TV White Spaces.

SOLUTION FOR QUEUING SYSTEMS E2/M/1 WITH ORDINARY AND SHIFTED INPUT DISTRIBUTIONS

Abstract

In queuing theory, the studies of the systems G/M [g1] 1 and G/G/1 are particularly relevant because there still exist no final solution for the general case. In this article we present results on (QS) G/G[F2] /1 and G/G/1 queuing systems (QS): E2/M/1 with Erlang and exponential input distributions, and also systems with delay in time, respectively. For the system with time delay the Erlang distribution of the second order shifted to the right from the zero point is selected as the input distribution along with the shifted exponential distribution. For such distribution laws, the classical method of spectral decomposition of the solution of the Lindley’s integral equation for systems G/G/1 allows to obtain a closed-form solution. It is shown that in a system with time delay the average waiting time in queue is less than in the usual system. This is explained by the fact that the time shift reduces the coefficients of variation of the intervals between the arrival and the service time, and as known from queuing theory, the average waiting time is related to these coefficients of variation by a quadratic dependence. The E2/M/1 system works only for the arrival intervals variation factor equal to and the service time variation factor equal to 1, while the system allows us to work with the arrival intervals variation factor in the range of (0, ) and the service time variation factor in the range of (0, 1), which expands the scope of these systems. For deriving the solutions, the classical method of spectral decomposition of the solution of the Lindley’s integral equation was used.

WAITING TIME ANALYSIS FOR G/G/1 QUEUE

Abstract

The paper presents two methods for determining the average waiting time for G/G/1 queue: he method of scale averaging and approximation and the approximation of the sum of the elements to find a solution to Lindley’s integral equation. The practical significance of studying queues with dependent arrival processes is obvious, since exact analytical or numerical solutions are usually not available for G/G/1 system; the operations to investigate network traffic on IP networks where each type of traffic is mapped to a distribution law. The distribution functions (Weibull and Pareto) of time parameters were obtained in Easy Fit data analysis program. The traffic was captured using Wireshark traffic analyzer program. The approximation of PMRQ in the average waiting time in TES+/G/1, MMRR was compared with the analytical solution for the same value in case of the solution of the spectral method of Lindley’s integral equation and the error was about 4-14% which is acceptable. The comparison of methods of approximating network traffic allows to estimate the average waiting time of the packet using statistical data analysis, which makes it possible to improve the quality of service and predict the traffic behavior.

Abstract

The paper solves the problem of statistical simulation of business process «Construction of high-rise metal supports for installation of infocommunication equipment» employing reusable projects in interests of managing this process in the development and improvement of mobile communication networks in Russia. The subject area of simulation is described. The relevance and importance of the problem are shown. The problems that necessitate the study of this business process by means of statistical simulation are identified. A verbal model and a detailed structural scheme of business process are presented. A brief definition and justification of the appropriateness of selected method application, including the method of simulation, are given. The expected results in the interest of improving the efficiency of managing the construction of high-rise metal supports are indicated. The paper anticipates the second part of development, which contains a description of software implementation of developed SS-model and analysis of results obtained with it.

ASSESSMENT OF SPECTRUM UTILIZATION EFFICIENCY IN RADIO-RELAY SYSTEMS

Abstract

The problem of efficiently utilizing such a limited natural resource as spectrum in radio-relay systems is described. It is shown that there is a shortage of frequency spectrum in certain radio frequency bands. For Tomsk region, the spectrum utilization efficiency in 8 GHz radio-relay systems is assessed. Radio signal path loss and fade margins were calculated for the intervals of the radio relay system. The underlying terrain data used in the calculations were obtained by remote sensing of the Earth with an accuracy of one angular second. Several possible solutions to increase spectrum utilization efficiency are proposed.

ANALYSIS OF STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE NUMBER OF TERRORIST CRIMES AND OTHER CRIME INDICATORS IN THE SUBJECTS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

Due to its social significance, the fight against terrorism has always received great attention, both from Federal law enforcement agencies and from the security services of facilities with mass stay of people and hazardous production facilities. Therefore, terrorist crimes are rare random events, each of which is formed under the influence of its own set of factors. This requires the development of approaches to assessing the likelihood of terrorism. Tasks related to the prediction of terrorist manifestations arise in assessing the risks of terrorist attacks and the effectiveness of security systems of potentially dangerous objects. In reporting documents of power structures of subjects of the Russian Federation it was repeatedly noted that crimes of the terrorist orientation have the base in the criminal environment. Therefore, on the basis of reporting data of heads of managements of the Ministry of internal Affairs on a number of subjects of the Russian Federation, the correlation analysis of existence of statistical communication of quantity of crimes of terrorist character with other indicators of crime is carried out. The analysis was conducted using standard procedures of tabular processor Microsoft Excel. The probabilistic and interval estimates of the linear correlation coefficient, confidential probability and the values of the standard error is obtained. The character of the statistical relationship has been determined using the Chaddock’s scale. As a result, the correlation between the number of crimes and the frequency of terrorist crimes has been statistically confirmed. The levels of statistical connection between the number of crimes of different types and the frequency of terrorist crimes in the territory of one subject of the Russian Federation in the appropriate time intervals were determined.

DESIGNING OF DATA REPLICATION METHOD IN MULTIUSER REAL-TIME WEB APPLICATION BASED ON WEBSOCKET PROTOCOL

Abstract

Over the past decade with rapid growing of the Internet technologies, developers have come to understanding of need to develop and implement real-time web applications. The ways based on HTTP-requests are no longer responses to modern criteria of full-duplex connection with asynchronous events. This paper reports WebSocket protocol based approach for designing or real-time web applications. One of the most difficult parts of the task is methods of data replication, which take place in multiuser application with real-time listening event of data changes. The paper describes this problem through the mathematical model of the ways of real-time communications between web-client users with shared data over the relational database. In additional, there is a sample of real-time web application architecture used suggested approach and Model-View-ViewModel pattern.

Abstract

In the context of the widespread introduction of automated data processing, special importance is attached to the issue of protecting information from unauthorized access to it by intruders. Security assessment at the web development stage should be carried out by analyzing threats using different criteria (for example, program code, page markup, passwords, etc.). The article presents the main mistakes of site developers during creating applications, analyzes the methods of eliminating them and increasing the level of security for the user. Based on the analysis, a conclusion was drawn on the need to pay considerable attention to network security during developing websites and using them. Knowledge of the basics of information security by users can help to protect user data and the application itself from the most popular modern threats.

MONITORING SYSTEM AS A BASIS FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES

Abstract

The article discusses the issues of implementation and the need of using an automated monitoring system that allows in real time not only to control the process itself, but also to develop innovative production processes. Monitoring is an internal procedure based on indicators and results, the purpose of which is to identify the factors that violate the functioning of the system. Simultaneously with this provision, monitoring is a tool for gathering of information and reporting. Depending on their tasks, the monitoring systems can be divided into those using the passive and active methods of collecting information. Automation of the monitoring system in the space industry will improve the quality of satellite operations, thus ensuring a high level of information processing efficiency, which will allow adequately, with an increased degree of efficiency, to evaluate and analyze the actual situation at a particular point of time. All of the above will eventually make an informed and purposeful management decision.

Abstract

The article discusses an integrated approach to procurement management in order to create future procurement regulations for manufacturing enterprises. There are proposed mechanisms for improving the functioning of the procurement department and units - initiators. The options for conducting procurement activities and regulatory documents, the monitoring of procurement at industrial enterprises, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the administrative-economic direction in organizations and increasing competitiveness were studied. Since the quality of domestic activities depends on the quality of satisfaction of future consumers. In order to rational distribution of financial resources there is analyzed the process of planning needs of the whole organization, a reasonable approach in the allocation of finance for meeting the needs of the end user. In order for production to be in-line, without any delays and stops, in the article there is proposed keeping of statistics on the consumption of warehouse stocks, which will allow to determine with greater accuracy which product, in what quantity and in what time frame the company will need.

QUALITY ASSURANCE OF PROCESSES IN SPRING DISASTER RECOVERY INSTRUMENTS FOR MEASURING PRESSURE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to improve the mechanisms for ensuring the quality of the recovery processes of spring pressure measuring instruments. The following research methods were applied: Ishikawa chart, control sheet, Pareto chart, analysis of the restoration of pressure gauges during repair work. According to the results of the study, specific types of defects that occur during the operation of pressure gauges and the frequency of their occurrence, as well as negative factors that have a greater significance for the failure of the pressure gauge, have been identified. The following conclusions were obtained: in order to ensure the quality of the processes for restoring the performance of spring pressure measuring instruments (pressure gauges), it is necessary to identify factors affecting the failure of pressure gauges, to collect and analyze all defects.

ANALYSIS OF EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY THE TESTING PROCESS OF QUARTZ RESONATORS

Abstract

The aim of the work is to analyze the need of improving the efficiency and quality of test processes of quartz resonators in order to enter the international market. Research methods: observation, structural-functional and system analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction, classification. The results of the study: reviewed the test processes and analyzed the information received, studied the existing standards, regulatory and technical documentation, considered the problem of improving the quality and efficiency of the testing processes of quartz resonators, testing processes as a service for an external consumer, as well as quality of business processes of the organization. Conclusions: when considering testing processes as a service for consumers, it is necessary to increase the competitiveness of the organization and reduce the time spent on the choice of test methods. When examining the testing processes of quartz resonators as an organization's business process, it was revealed that for improving the quality of processes, it was necessary to monitor all key operations of the process and ensure self-control of the personnel, conducting the tests, and to increase the efficiency of testing processes, it was necessary to create an automated database of test methods for quartz resonators . Also, it is possible to increase the efficiency and quality of the processes of testing resonators by purchasing new measuring equipment, which allows testing large batches of quartz resonators in less time.

FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF INVESTMENT PROJECT EFFICIENCY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the effectiveness of innovations. Improving the competitiveness of the enterprise is based on many different methods and techniques. One of these is the introduction of investment projects, through which production will be able to master and conquer new market segments. The article presents the following research methods: an incremental method for evaluating the effectiveness of investment projects, a method for determining the net present value, a method for calculating the profitability of investments, a method for calculating the internal rate of return. The results of the study showed that, according to the data of the financial and economic analysis of the activity, the enterprise “Plant of Radio Equipment” is in a difficult financial situation, influenced by many factors: low demand for the range of manufactured radio products, reduced liquidity and profitability. The combination of these factors does not allow the company to increase production capacity. After analyzing and processing the information received, we can conclude that in order to increase the competitiveness of an enterprise, investments are needed to implement an investment project to open a shop for the production of short-range radios.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the questions of management of inter-level interaction with the human resource. The national peculiarities of the attitude to labor at different historical stages, both in Russia and abroad, are considered. Russian national attitudes towards labor are characterized by collective productive activities. The western ideology of the attitude to labor is based on an individual approach and competition. The Japanese organizational system is characterized by a careful attitude to resources. Based on a comparative analysis, factors affecting the effectiveness of managerial interactions in the main categories in Russia and abroad are identified. Russia has inherent only for her features of interaction with human resources, however, in some cases, some approaches of managerial interaction in working with personnel services are identical to foreign experience.

MECHANISMS FOR CONDUCTING INTERNAL AUDIT AT THE ENTERPRISE OF ROCKETO-COSMIC PURPOSE

Abstract

The article deals with the issues of quality audit at a machine-building enterprise. The complex of factors affecting quality assurance is analyzed, taking into account of the changing nature of monopolies due to the adaptation of Russia in the context of tougher sanctions and the search for new markets for domestic products. In world practice, quality audit is used as a means of obtaining objective evidence that the requirements established by the standards are met. The domestic practice of creating algorithms for auditing management systems is based on the accumulated extensive experience of the global community and is summarized in the GOST R ISO 19011-2012 «Standard Guidelines for Auditing Quality Management Systems». Any organization, applying for a certificate of conformity, must develop an internal audit procedure. This is of great importance in the substantiation of the audit of the quality management system. The article presents the methodology for conducting an audit in the rocket-space sphere.

Abstract

Achieving sustainable and sufficient economic growth requires not only increasing of economic activity, but also creating the conditions for the possibility of economic activity, which are designated by the term «infrastructure». The scale, complexity and critical importance of infrastructure objects for the economy and the state as a whole explain the need of creating special state bodies and structures to manage this area. Infrastructure authorities should have a multi-faceted set of analytical systems and tools within the framework of existing legislation. Special attention in the management of the infrastructure is attached to the safety and security of existing systems. Infrastructure issues are considered on the example of both economically developed and developing foreign countries. On the basis of a comprehension of international experience, recommendations are given for improving the regulation of infrastructure in Russia.
