QUANTIZATION NOISE ANALYSIS FOR DISCRETE WAVELET TRANSFORM IMAGE FILTERING

Chervyakov N.I., Ljahov P.A., Nagornov N.N.

Abstract

This paper solves an analysis problem for the quantization noise caused by the rounding of the coefficients of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) filters and its influence on the image processing result in order to determine the minimum bit-width of coefficients at which the quantization noise does not have a significant effect on the image processing result or does not affect it at all. The implementation of the DWT method is proposed, which makes it possible to determine the effective bit-width of the wavelet-filter coefficients and simplify the rounding operations. Formulas are derived for determining the minimum bit-width of the coefficients at which the DWT restored image shows the high quality (40 dB) or matches the original one, depending on the wavelet used. Simulation of image DWT using the bit-width calculated according to the derived formulas confirms the results obtained. All calculations are performed only on fixed-point numbers.

TRAFFIC AND QUEUE FRACTALITY IN QUEUING SYSTEMS

Blatov I.A., Likhtsinder B.Y.

Abstract

Traffic in modern multiservice networks is usually correlated, therefore, the methods of classic theory do not work properly. In this paper the results of simulation and comparative analysis of traffic correlation influence for a fractal requests ceiling and requests flow in a case of real multiservice telecommunication networks are given. We examine Pollaczek-Khinchine formula generalization for an average queue length of stationary requests flow with a random correlation as well as opportunities for its application. It’s shown that a real random value of requests number that is proceed at the interval of one request service has an expectation value lesser than 1. It is shown that a process of queueing has passive time intervals that interrupt a correlation link with previous and following process parts. It is shown that correlation dependencies between separate queues values spread only at intervals of employment of queuing network for self-similar processes that have an infinitely big correlation interval.

CONTROLLING TIME-FREQUENCY CHARACTERISTIC OF OPTICAL IMPULSE IN THE RADIO-OVER-FIBER TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS USING MACH-ZEHNDER MODULATOR

Voronkova A.V., Voronkov G.S., Yantilina L.Z., Sultanov A.K., Vinogradova I.L.

Abstract

The article describes new method of optical signals multiplexing in Radio-over-Fiber networks based on signal’s chirp (frequency-time characteristic). A method for chirp control using Mach-Zehnder Modulator (MZM) is described. Mathematical proof of possibility of chirp control in MZM is given. The dependence of chirp function on control input voltage is found. The experiment procedure is described. The experiment was conducted using optical BER-tester, MZM, DC-voltage source, ramp generator and optical line with a length of 20 km. It was found that BER decreases twice when using ramp generator instead of DC-voltage source on control input of MZM. As a conclusion, the possibility of transmitting a small amount of additional data (for example, network service information, control signals or switching labels) using the chirp of optical signal is described. The use of chirped signals in SDN is suggested for the transmission of service data between network nodes as an example of practical application for described technology.

ANALYSIS OF NEW QUEUEING SYSTEM E2/E2/1 WITH DELAY

Tarasov V.N., Bakhareva N.F., Akhmetshina E.G.

Abstract

In queuing theory, the G/G/1 systems are especially relevant in view of the fact that until now there is no solution in the final form for the general case. This article presents the results of queuing systems (QS) G/G/1: system E2/E2/1 with Erlang input distributions of the second order and the system with delay in time. We choose the second-order Erlang distributions as an input for the system considered, which are shifted to the right from the zero point. For such distribution laws, the method of spectral decomposition allows one to obtain a solution in closed form. It is shown that in such a system with delay, the average waiting time of calls in queue is less than in the usual system. Which is explained by the fact that the time shift operation reduces the value of variation coefficients of the intervals between the receipts and the service time, and as it is known from queuing theory, the average requirements waiting time is related to these variation coefficients by a quadratic dependence. The E2/E2/1 system works only for variation coefficients equal to , and the system c allows us to work with the variation coefficients of the arrival and service intervals from the interval (0, ), which extends the scope of these systems. To derive solutions, the classical method of spectral decomposition of the Lindley’s integral equation solution is used.

Roslyakov A.V., Lysikov A.A.

Abstract

The article discusses a software for virtual private network analysis and planning that allows to determine the optimal topology of routes for a virtual private network, taking into account the routes and characteristics of cross-flows of other networks, such as burstiness and the traffic flow rate. The problems arising at the planning stage of VPN networks during their joint implementation in the network of the telecoms operator are considered. Differences between deterministic and stochastic network calculus are shown. The models underlying algorithms for determining the deterministic and probabilistic boundaries for virtual private network flows are studied. The basic functionality of the software is considered. The results of a study of the influence of cross-flow routes of other networks on the VPN delay bound obtained using different models are presented.

OFDM CHANNEL MODEL IN THE PROBLEM OF THE IEEE 802.11 NETWORK EFFICIENCY ESTIMATION

Vikulov A.S., Paramonov A.I.

Abstract

This article discusses the issues of ensuring the efficiency of the IEEE 802.11 standard network. An orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing channel model is proposed as a function between its basic parameters and the application conditions. The frame transmission time is selected as the main characteristic. Modern enterprise wireless networks require high signal strength as coverage requirements and hence signal strength from the access point cannot be itself a good parameter for data rate selection. Thus, analytical models are obtained for the number of bits in the symbol and the data frame transmission time as a function of the signal to noise ratio for the IEEE 802.11ac standard. The model analysis shows that the error of the model is less than 6% for the most of the data frame size values. The proposed analytical models can be used to assess the effectiveness of the network and, thus, help in the design process of the modern enterprise networks, which require high signal strength for wireless coverage.

HUMAN MOBILITY MODEL FOR SIMULATION MODELING OF WIRELESS DELAY TOLERANT NETWORKS

Tsarev A.A., Privalov A.Y.

Abstract

In the article a human mobility model is presented. The model is designed to simulate delay tolerant networks where network nodes are people-portable devices with a small effective radius of the built-in transceiver. The base principle of this network is “Store-Carry-Forward”. The model reflects the features of real mobility that are important for the performance of these networks, such as the Levy’s probability distribution for transition lengths and waypoints clustering. The main characteristic of real mobility, that is used to verify the adequacy of the model, is the distribution of the time between contacts (the presence of an active communication channel) of an arbitrary pair of network nodes, i.e. the inter-contact time. In comparison with the best-known mobility models for delay tolerant networks, the proposed model requires less initialization information about the simulated situation while offering a sufficiently good approximation of the inter-contact time. The article presents the results of proposed model comparison with similar models and with real mobility data.

Dimov E.M., Kuleva N.S., Ganenko O.M.

Abstract

The article considers a problem statement of the business process "Construction of prefabricated buildings" simulation modeling. The subject area is described briefly. The relevance of prefabricated constructing lies in the fact that it is associated with the use of effective and economical engineering methods which ensure the conformity of the final product to market requirements. Moreover, in the article some problems are identified that are causing the need for the business process study by modeling. The verbal model and the detailed scheme of the business process are presented. The scheme displays all the operations of the business process and the departments that perform them. Bold arrows show workflows and control flows, thin ones indicate resources used in process, input and output objects. It is proposed to use the Dimov-Maslov method within the confines of statistical simulation modeling. This method combines the virtues of classical statistical approaches and overcomes some of their shortcomings.

Diyazitdinova A.R., Saprikina A.A.

Abstract

There are a lot of methods for rating the financial standing of a company. However, each of those methods has some disadvantages, as a result, none of them can produce the correct rating. Scientific research is still ongoing in this area. In this article a fuzzy logic method for rating the financial standing of an infocommunication company is described. The method allows to reduce the uncertainty of the decision-making process. The fuzzy logic system can process both quantitative and qualitative parameters of a company, which increases decision reliability. For financial analysis regulatory approach is mainly employed. Utilizing the six most frequently used coefficients, input and output linguistic variables were defined along with fuzzy sets and expert rules. The fuzzy logic system for rating the financial standing of a company was developed with Fuzzy Logic Toolbox for MatLab. The simulation results are shown in the article. The situation management algorithm developed on the basis of fuzzy logic method is described.

Gorozhanina E.I.

Abstract

Currently, great attention is being paid to making decisions in the field of human resources management of IT organizations. The development and adoption of such decisions are closely related to the processing of information. The higher the effect of the use of personnel information, the more objective decisions will be made by managers on a wide variety of personnel problems. Among the most important problems associated with the use of modern technologies in the information environment of the enterprise, it is necessary to attribute the absence of the necessary theoretical and methodological justification and practical recommendations provided by the latest computer tools in the field of human resource management. Thus, the relevance of the research lies in the need to search for new methods of increasing labor efficiency, including the use of modern information technologies in the field of personnel management.

SPREAD SPECTRUM SYSTEM PROTECTION FROM NARROWBAND INTERFERENCE WITH FAST FREQUENCY HOPPING

Dolmatov A.G., Luchinin A.S., Malygin I.V.

Abstract

The interference immunity of communication systems that use spread-spectrum signals is proportional to the signal base. In the presence of a powerful narrowband interference, an effective way to increase noise immunity is to use frequency hopping technique. In this paper, a method has been developed for monitoring the channel occupancy when receiving signals with signal-to-noise ratio less than one (down to -10 dB) and tuning the signal frequency to a different spectrum position if it is affected by the interference. The time characteristics of the procedure are estimated, and the possibility of transmitting video messages with H.264 compression without disrupting the image during the frequency hop is shown.

EFFECTIVE AUDIO СOMPRESSION PARAMETERS RESEARCH

Stefanova I.A., Stefanov M.A., Zabolotov V.A.

Abstract

In the article the authors offer an original model in which audio signals are compressed on the basis of psychoacoustic properties of hearing: namely, sample length and sampling frequency of audio data that the authors refer to in frequency analysis. The necessary conditions are determined, which allow restoring the sound signal quite accurately, after its digital processing and application of frequency discrete orthogonal transformations to the samples of the primary digital signal. The researchers provide recommendations for values of the examined parameters so that compression could be effective, particularly, the conversion interval and the sampling frequency of the audio signal. The calculation for different frequency ranges of audio signals is performed. The ways for further research of the sampling frequency are identified that take into account psychoacoustic peculiarities of human hearing.

TRIADIC ELEMENTARY RADIATOR OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES

Maslov O.N., Shatalov I.S.

Abstract

The paper considers the problem of studying formation conditions of an electromagnetic confidential information (CI) leakage channel in a computer network by the methods and means of random antenna theory. Within the framework of the triad-cluster method (TCM) of CI leakage channel simulation with applying of probabilistic combinatorics, it is proposed to use triadic elementary radiator (TER) as a basic element of branched network. The results of testing and analysis of TER properties by means of TCM are presented in various ways: in the form of deterministic distributions of electric E-field and magnetic H-field levels on a given planar surface, and in the form of corresponding probabilistic histograms. It is shown that for adequate statistical simulation of TER properties, the values of commutation parameters in the formulas for E-field and H-field strengths created by its components should be generated by the Monte-Carlo method within [-1;1] interval.

STATE CLASSIFICATION AND IDENTIFICATION FOR ORGANIZATIONAL AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS TO IMPROVE DIRECTION EFFECTIVENESS

Mordashkin V.K., Volchihin V.I.

Abstract

The dialectics of the development of organizational and technical control systems under conditions of uncertainty in the solution of emerging problems determine the nature of the laws governing the change in their state. The study of these regularities is of interest for predicting the development and justifying the distribution of resources between the components of the systems. Such issues are especially relevant for organizational and technical systems that do not generate profits, but provide the conditions for its formation. The state of the system cannot be determined without an appropriate classification of states and the principles of their identification. The article establishes the relationship between the cyclical character of the decisions made and the states of organizational and technical control systems.
