The modern classification of prostatitis is presented, it is noted that abacterial chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) account for 90-95% of cases. The paper is dedicated to the diagnostic criteria for CPPS, the algorithm of assessment, current approaches to the treatment of this disease. The authors present the results of the nutritional supplement Longa-DNA administration, an essential component of which is L-arginine, in 31 patients with CPPS.
