Abstract

Emotional and affective disorders and some forms of headache have a close relationship. The significance of anxiety and depressive disorders is so great that in the International Classification of Headache Disorders III (2013), the section «Headache associated with mental disorders» has been greatly expanded. This enables making better diagnosis and extends approaches to drug therapy in patients with severe and resistant to treatment forms of headache.
