The article considers the efficiency of use of the drug on the basis of ribosomal-proteoglycan complex (RPC) of the most common pathogens of ENT and upper respiratory tract infections in the comprehensive therapy of allergic rhinitis, including allergic rhinitis against the background of respiratory tract infections. The interrelation between respiratory infections and atopy is discussed. The data on the immunomodulatory activity of the RPC, including its ability to shift Th1/Th2 balance towards a Th1-type immune response, are presented. This is reflected in the change of cytokine profile and decrease of the degree of atopy.
