Abstract
Bronchial asthma (BA) - one of the most common chronic disease among children with high medical and social significance. The study was aimedto the evaluation of the relationship between the oral health status and background therapy in children with bronchial asthma. The study included 84 children aged 4-16 years (64 - with bronchial asthma, 20 - control group). Oral cavity examinations were performed; decayed, missing and filled teeth (DMFT) indices were calculated, as well as Greene-Vermillion oral hygiene index. The relationship between the intensity of caries and asthma severity was proved.
