Abstract

The article provides a brief review of the literature on the use of plant essential oils in clinical practice. The therapeutic effects and mechanisms of influence on the human body of essential oils of various plants are discussed. The data of the efficacy and safety of essential oils in the treatment of acute infectious respiratory diseases in children by the example of domestic preparation, containing composition of natural essential oils - «Oil Dishi» - are presented.
