Abstract
The article discusses the etiology, pathogenesis and treatment of otitis externa in general practice. It was noted that in spite of the well state of knowledge, to date there is no universal classification of otitis externa, which would be unanimously adopted by all the experts. Given that the medical tactics in otitis externa depends on its nature, in some cases, the combined drugs appear to be most optimal for the treatment. The data of author’s own clinical experience of use of Triderm in patients with external otitis against the background of hearing aid are presented. These results allow to recommend the drug as a first choice for otitis externa caused by atopic dermatitis, bacterial and mycotic eczema.
