Abstract
The problem of hemorrhagic complications of duodenal ulcer disease (DUD) remains relevant. The DUD patients with history of blee-ding were different from those with uncomplicated disease by age and gender characteristics, as well as hypercoagulable changes in blood plasma that correlated with the frequency and duration of hemorrhagic episodes. In patients with uncomplicated DUD and DUD with a history of bleeding, no differences in the histological and microhemocirculatory parameters of the gastroduodenal mucosa were observed. Secondary prophylaxis of hemorrhagic complications in DUD should include not only control of the infection of Helicobacter pylori, the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and concomitant pathology, but also mandatory monitoring and correction of plasma hemostasis.
