Abstract
We consider the place of clinicopathologic conferences/peer reviews in current medical practice. Data about a divergence in final and postmortem diagnoses are presented, as well as the main causes of deaths in Moscow hospitals. It is emphasized that the clinicopathologic analysis of fatal cases by practitioner provide not only continually foster diagnosis skills, expand the book knowledge and more effectively master the methodology of evidence-based medicine, but also monitor the adverse effects of treatment.
