Аннотация
В представленном обзоре рассматриваются роль таурина в метаболизме, последствия его дефицита и эффекты, которые наблюдаются при устранении недостатка таурина в организме. Обсуждается вклад таурина в профилактику и лечение сахарного диабета и его осложнений, а также в снижение рисков сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний.
