The journal was founded in 2007 by the Moscow State Machine-Building University (MAMI).

2007 to 2015 was published as a multidisciplinary scientific journal.

Since 2016, it has been transformed into a publication specializing in the scientific direction VEHICLES AND POWER PLANTS.

Since 2017, the founder of the journal is the Moscow Polytechnic University.
